A female Canada age 41-50, anonymous writes:

HI:)

My boyfriend and I are friends on facebook. When I look at his profile it says that he has been tagged in 17 pictures but when I click to see them I am only able to see 11. Has he prevented me somehow from seeing the rest? how and why? He knows I hate dishonesty.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (11 January 2009):

it depends who posted the photos, some people will only let their friends see their photos. So if your bf's friend is not friends with you, and they post photos and tag him in them, and youre not friends with them, then you wont be able to see those photos!

I hope this helps, its nothing your bf is doing, its jsut the security setting of some of his friends! :) dont worry!

Aech135 agony auntAs far as I know there is no option to allow certain people to view specific photos on Facebook. You can only really stop people from seeing you on a broad spectrum such as stopping people who aren't your friends to see them. If you are friends with him then you can see them unless someone else has them blocked in some way. Those photos he's tagged in also might just be his past profile pictures or any other random type of thing like that. They also could be pictures in someone else's albums that has their profile set to private although i think you should still be able to see the ones he's in. I wouldn't worry about it that much unless he seems like he's actively trying to hide things from you.

SirenaBlusera agony auntJust talk to him about it, it's not good to jump to conclusions. If he's never betrayed your trust before, there's probably a simple explanation.

There's nothing wrong with having girls as friends, but he needs to be open and honest with you. That's the "alimento" (food) of love: trust.

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (10 January 2009):

The person who put the picture up has the option to decide who can see it. This is so random people can't perv on pictures of you if you put them up on facebook.

Whoever put them up probably put that only his/her friends are allowed to look at their photos. So if you are not friends with that person, you won't be able to see them.

If you are really desperate to see them then ask your boyfriend to show you them through his log in.

But just be careful that your paranoia doesn't drive him away. You were very quick to think that it was him who had something to hide. Ask yourself why you are so insecure.

Good Luck!! xx

A female reader, GirlLeastLikelyTo United Kingdom +, writes (10 January 2009):

I think if he removes the tag, the picture isn't available for toher to see. Not too sure but I'm sure someone with more Facebook knowledge will tell you.

Don't be so suspicious though, it could be a sinple explanation.
