 Let's see my sophomore year I had a cute guy stare at me nonstop in Spanish class, when he went to sharpen his pencil, throw away things in the trash. I was like what's this dude's problem. Well weeks later, he finally made a move to talk to me..turns out he liked me and asked me out. That's what all that stare down was for. Showing interest but didn't know if I noticed he was staring.
Also I'll add there is times I'll zone out in class and just stare at the wall o a picture and people will think I'm looking at them. So it could be he's day dreaming or he's digging you but not sure when to make a move. Let me say, if anticipation is eating you alive, don't be scared and make the first move. Or you could be waiting weeks for him to do. A stare has no meaning behind it other than being a verb or a noun. That's it.
