a guy im seeing broke up with his girlfriend of 3 years last christmas, so its only been 3 months but we're getting pretty serious. i broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years last august and im totally over it now, but do you think it is possible for him to be over her and ready to start a new relationship? im going to meet his family in may as he lives in london so he seems pretty keen. do you think i should be wary or is there a chance he is genuinely ready and not still hung up on her?

A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (3 April 2012):

aunt honesty agony auntEverybody is different when it comes to relationships and how they get over it. Talk to him about it and tell him your worries, if he gets moody about it or he snaps and you and tells you he does not want to talk about it then I would be worried then, but if he is open with you and it doesn't seem to bother him talking about it then you should not let it get to you. If he reassures you he is fine then believe that he is and live a happy life.
