My gf and I just had sex for the first time. Does the loudness and the amount of noises and moans mean a higher level of enjoyment? Do moans mean that I am satisfying her sexually?

Explain "just had sex for the first time". Does that mean, first time with each other? Or first time ever, with anybody?

Even though a girl might use moans, gasps, etc to fake her pleasure the fact is that women are generally more vocal during sex than guys. And most guys really enjoy a vocal partner, but almost never give her the pleasure of hearing HIM express his pleasure audibly.

As with just about everything surrounding sex, a girl's vocalization varies from time to time, depends on the guy she's with, the circumstances of their lovemaking, etc. You might be able to use her moans, etc as feedback to show you're doing something very well, but an absence of sound does NOT mean you're doing poorly!

A few months after we were married I told my wife how much I enjoyed all the sounds she made as she approached orgasm. Guess what? It made her self-conscious, and I don't think I heard a peep out of her for 2 or 3 YEARS afterwards!! Since then she has become more vocal, but only if we are absolutely by ourselves - no kids in the house, nobody in the adjacent motel room, etc.

anon_e_mouse agony auntHaha, after the replies so far this guy is going to go loopy now wondering whether she's faking it or not. Poor bloke!

I have to say generally, you'll know whether she's enjoying it or not. Some girls are loud and some are not. Some get to the point where they enjoy it so much they get louder. At the end of the day don't think about it too much.

Generally I take signs that she's moaning and groaning as a positive. You'll know as you get to know each other and what turns each other on where the right buttons are.

Sex is all about experimenting (I'm not saying don the leather pants and wear gimp masks and get the whips and chains out) but just enjoy each other and don't get het up on whether it was REAL or FAKE moaning.

To be honest, I'm a bloke and I've had to fake having amazing sex on more than one occassion with different girls. Any other blokes faked an AMAZING time? I'd be interested to hear any replies :)

Best of luck and DON'T THINK ABOUT IT TOO MUCH.

lovehate agony auntNormally a moan can show enjoyment yet it's hard to answer this question as the loudness or the amount can be faked so watch out if it is "too much".

It can also depend on how comfortable you are with eachother.

Don't worry. It all depends on the individual. She would be telling you if were not doing something right!

rockelle agony auntMost of the time a moan can mean that she is enjoying it and you are doing a good job. However, toooooo much moaning could mean she is faking.

This is hard to answer because moans and loudness can be faked. If your worried because she didn't moan and make a lot of noise don't be. Sometimes people have to get comfortable with each other before the inner animal can fully come out.
