A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I have been seeing this guy for a year and a half now and we recently had the talk of where it going. He said he not an emotional guy and doesn't form attachments easily. Has had relationships in the past of few years long and was still not emotional involved. He says fact he hasn't ended things between us when I said I had feelings for him a good sign but he doesn't know whether he will ever fall for me. He says he craves excitement and gets bored quickly. Ultimately he said the ball in my court as to what happens as I am the one more emotionally attached it up to me whether I risk it or walk away. With his track record things don't look so good but I'm kind of confused as to what do I do now? Do I stay longer to see or do I leave now with my heart still intact relatively??

If you are content to continue let him use you strictly for casual no-strings with no commitment and no obligation indefinitely (which is exactly what he means by saying he's not emotional and doesn't form attachments easily), then by all means stay. He's certainly not going to kick you out of his bed as long as you don't make demands of him.

In other words, you have nothing to gain and everything to lose by staying and waiting for him to miraculously change into the guy you want him to be because it simply is never going to happen, no matter how much you wish and hope and dream and pray otherwise.

Sorry to be so blunt, but how many anvils need to fall on your head for you to get the message? He's not interested in you, he only wants to get laid regularly and frequently.

CindyCares agony aunt Leave now, by all means. Why do you want to stay with a guy who basically just told you he could not care less ?

I know, you want to hang in there because nothing, good or bad, lasts forever, and miracles do happen. But you don't need a miracle, and you don't need to sweat it so much, all you need is an emotionally available, INTERESTED in you guy,- apparently he is not, so...next.

oldbag agony auntHi

Why would you want to stay with a guy who is emotionally unavailable and craves excitement?

Walk away, head high, leave him to it. 18 months is long enough to give this one - now go enjoy yourself for a bit.
