Do guys assume because I wear rings, one them is from a bf?

A female United Kingdom, anonymous writes:

I would really like to know a guy's opinion on girls wearing rings... (although girls views welcome too!)

I have this gold ring that has a diamond heart and piece of amethyst in it. I wear it on my right hand middle finger just about every day because it was a present from my parents on my 16th bday three years ago.

(As well as that one, I sometimes wear three silver rings on my middle left finger that have VERY sparkly cubic zirconia stones in them). The one on my right hand is special to me, the ones on my left hand are ones i was given by friends but they do look expensive...

I just want to know if that is what is turning guys that I might actually like off me, because I AM getting attention from guys but most of them are guys I don't like. And they have ALL asked about the heart ring - they say they thought my 'boyfriend' had given it to me.

So do guys see this ring and automatically think 'that girl's unapproachable because she's got a guy already because she's wearing a ring that MUST be from a bloke?

Should I stop wearing these rings in places where I am likely to meet guys that might approach me?

(I also wear a v sparkly heart necklace that was also a present from parents that looks very expensive, but I wear all these things because I like them)

Help.

nailglitter18 agony auntI wear a gold ring on my left ring finger which has semiprecious stone chips in it in a rainbow. When I'm out and about and don't want attention, I turn it around so only the gold band shows. I also wear a silver ring on my right ring finger. Some guys see this as "stay away"- other guys see this as a no-strings-attached fun time... I mean, if you've got a boyfriend, fiance, or husband, then you dont want commitment, right?

But really, if you ask any decent guy, chances are they'll say that they are wary of girls who wear rings on their fingers: you just never know what it means.

If you like the jewellery, though, wear it! If you're talking to a guy you like, you could always work it into the conversation that you are, indeed, single.

Jamer70 agony auntIn my guy opinion

In my Opinion these seem like they are presents from someone very special to you, and as you said you got there from you parents, but most people would assume there from your "Boyfriend"

But dont now stop wearing them they seem very special to you so i wouldnt stop
