MetalMan agony auntsame as jamer70 for me, i think guys don't tend to talk about thier girlfreinds in detail in fact the only time i've really talked about mine is in light convosation, it's a topic like "hows your mother?" or the weather it's a "how your girlfreind?" i think some guys probably do talk in more detail but you need a special relationship with the your talking to

and for the commenting just like evrybody talks about other people but an actual comment about a guys girlfreind to his face that isn't like "shes cool" or somthing like that is rare and any thing putting the girl down is even rarer and usually ends in a fist fight

at least thats my experience

hope i've helped

jm81690 agony auntWith all the guys my own age and my friends too whenever the topic of a buddies girlfriend comes up the guys usually want to know how far they got with her, and if they actually like her not.

And although it's not the right thing to do, guys will usually answer honestly, if they had sex with their girlfriend, the odds are their friends will know.

As far as commenting on my friends girlfriends or whatever, I'd consider that to be walking on thin ice, me and my friends might jokingly say "Atta boy!" or something along those lines, but that's about it.

Jamer70 agony auntWell yea kinda. I mean from my experience we dont exactly go into emotional detail like how we feel and what are plans are. Its more a quick chat of how its going, if its good or bad. How we like them. Not into much detail unless asked

A female reader, anonymous, writes (11 January 2008):

I know I am not a guy but I know for a fact that they do. My ex boyfriends friend called him one time to tell him how inlove he was with his girlfriend. He went on for a about ten minutes. Then my bf started telling him how inlove he was with me. I overheard the conversation.

They definitely talk about it but not in the same way or so consistently as we do. And also it depends on the guy. Some guys have the kind of friendships with other guys where it is socially acceptable to pour their hearts out and some guys don't have the same kind of peers where it is so acceptable. But for the most part, if a guy likes you, he has definitely talked about you.

And NO, guys don't usually comment on other mates' girlfriends unless it is simply to say that they think she is nice or to say that they don't like her. They might comment on her physical appearance behind the guys back like if they think she is hot. But not usually to the guys face just out of respect.
