Did I freak him out?

A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I had worked with this guy for about 2 years and I had admitted to him that I liked him, and he had an idea that I did. He said he didn't really want to start anything because we did work together, which is understandable. I soon left and began a new career and we still remained friends and hung out occassionaly. I do not live in the same area, but am only about 30 minutes away. this past weekend we hung out and I ended up going back to his place, where we did the deed. I think I freaked him out a little bit by telling something about a relationship gone astray in my past- on the lines of asking this new guy to go with me to get Plan b (just a precaution) in my past. He didn't quite say anything about it.

We went to bed and the next morning everything seemed fine. We talked and then i had to go back home. I texted him later that day just saying hi. I haven't talked to him since and am wondering if I did freak him out. Is there any plan of action I should take or just see where it goes? He is a shy guy and I don't know if he is waiting for me to say something first. Any advice?
