 Firstly, if he cheated on you, why would you want him back? If he is cheating at his age, he will be a bigger cheater when he is older.
Secondly, generally if you "snog" or french kiss, you do open your mouth.
Honestly I think you should wait a while before you make any decisions to "snog" any boys. You are a little too young!

 Hi babe,
When you said he cheated on you, what do you mean by it.. i mean how did he cheat, what did he do..? When he opened his mouth what did you do? What you both need to do is start from kissing with your mouths closed and then gradualy open then as you are kissin.. and dont forget to breath!!
