Did he behave this way because there was someone else? And why would he say he regrets what we did?

Question - (17 March 2013) 1 Answers - (Newest, 18 March 2013)
A female United Kingdom age 26-29, *he unknown writes:

There is this boy I met on holiday and through the holiday we got close and things started going somewhere, then on the final day he started getting touchy feely, an he told me he really liked me so that night one thing led to another and we did everything bar sex.

After that everything was fine we sat next to eachother all the way home and cuddled and when we got home he asked if we were together and then came round my house 2 days later and everything happened again. I made sure I wasn't getting in the way of a relationship he had or if there was a clingy ex but he said no. An he kept reassuring me that he really liked me,

So I said yes !

Then two days later he said it wasn't working and started being all funy and told me he never wanted to talk to me again, I had done nothing! I had found out there was an ex and he had gone back to her, did he behave like that because there was someone else? Also he says he regrets it? Is that to reassure his new girl?

A male reader, LivingWithBadDecisions United Kingdom +, writes (18 March 2013):

LivingWithBadDecisions agony auntI had a mate who did this. Got with some girl on holiday for a couple of weeks and made her feel like they had a shot then got home and forgot all about her after a couple of months.

The unfortunate lesson to learn here is that if you give yourself up too soon he wont respect you as a girlfriend because you will just be that girl on holiday who scratched his itch so to speak.
