 Hey hon, some people can, and some can't, if you can see a peace of skin at the opening then it is still there :) Some people bleed and some people dont.. it all depends on different women :) I hope i helped, Feel free to mail me aout anything x

 Ok. Well every woman is different but its generally pretty easy to locate the hymen yourself. It is thin membrane that surrounds the opening to the vagina and is usually a 'cresent moon' shape.If you can see the vagina opening then it has been torn.If the vagina is still covered then it hasn't.It is very stretchy so sometimes it doesnt actually tear during sex and only around 50% of womens hymens are torn during their first time.I understand your confusion. I go to a catholic school and we never got any sex education so everything medical is self taught BUT i hope it helps.
