Q. So, is it possible to be pregnant while taking birthcontrol?

(Story) My boyfriend and I had sex back in mid-Oct. I'm taking birthcontrol, so we didn't think it was nec. to use a condom. I've missed my period, which is unusual. I've been sick vomitting for the past 3 days, and I'm quite worried.

Yes it is possible there are a lot of pill babies out there. Maybe if you are not pregnant then you should look into another form of birth control the pill requires a lot of responsibility because it has to be everyday at the same time. I personally love the depo becuase it is once every three months. There are a lot of people who cant use the pill right because they are busy. Also if you are going to stay on the pill use a condom just to be safe. The only thing you can do to make yourself feel better is take a pregnancy test. Use something like first response which can tell you even a few days before your missed period. Cheaper isn't better here because a lot of the cheaper ones give false results.

Good Luck!

Ravenxx91 agony auntIt depends whether you missed a pill or not and if you were taking anything like antibiotics which can lower the effect of the pill. I suggest you go and get a test to simply give you an answer, but make sure you do this to a date which would be at least 4 weeks after your missed period. If you not pregnant, the sickness may be a bug or could be psychological as your scared your pregnant - which dont worry - it is common =]

If you missed a day of the pill, or were ill then it might not have worked.

Go and get yourself checked out. It could be a nasty winter bug!

Good Luck!! xx
