Wendyg agony auntHmm different people think about different things... doesnt matter if your a girl or a boy you will think different things, there no such thing as a boy thinks about this list and a girl thinks about that list... for instance at times my thought pattern will be varied but in general these are the things i could be thinking about although on a deeper level at times.

Money, Sex, Football,Cars ,Family,Drink,Music Violence(not comitting it), food, friends, internet, work, etc etc

What im trying to point out is that being female, i still think about the first few as would a male, especially football, cars and sex, so you cant generalise what each sex is thinking about. This is just a list off the top of my head of stuff that will creep in during the day, but in the main im a bit deeper than that, but we all think about different things and it doesnt have to have anything to do with being male or female we are all individual! If you are reffering to teenage boys then I would say sex and girls football, and probably drink or food would be what they think about! But not all of them as you cant but everyone in the same bracket as we are all so so so different!

A reader, anonymous, writes (26 July 2006):

That's a super generalized question. I think about anything that might have happened today, recently, years ago, future, immediate things, etc. It's so much more complicated than pinpointing things - eg: I'm typing this right now, thinking how silly it is to answer it, yet I am answering it. I am also thinking at the same time that the fan on my left feels good as the wind touches my fore arm. I am also thinking that the orange stickies need to be recorded and removed. I also think that my mom made the tomatoes too salty. Now, I'm looking at the window towards the blue skies wondering if Saturday will rain.

When I drive home later today from work, I will wonder how much hotter the weather will get. I will think that the heat will make me think about girls and doing naughty things to them. I will also think that I need to change my CD. Then when I get home, I will wonder what my mom made for dinner. If I should do a full cycling exercise tonight coupled with a full round of gym exercises, and how and what time.......

Aside from specific things like that, sometimes, I think about my career, the immediate things i have to do, what i have to do, how to do them, organize them, things i have to record down, how to make the reports, what my boss and partners will say, how they will react. I will wonder if the company can get VC by the end of summer. Wonder whether our prototype needs a revamp. Wonder if my work is good enough.

Tidbits will flow into my mind over the course of the day/night about my ex(es), sex, and how it felt, dreams I've had, what they meant, why the computer makes that noise, if I should invest into a better bike, when the parcel of stuff arrive, about Wilson in Cast Away, how to float in the ocean, how the storms in Master and Commander looked scary, why HBF's list of thoughts are in that order, whether I am making the 'right' decisions in everything, etc, etc, etc...

GOOD GRIEF LI, STOP THINKING SO MUCH! Really, it's not much.

maxsteel86 agony auntPersonally, I think about loads of stuff...

My girlfriend obviously, after that, probably work, study, money, aircraft?...

More importantly, dying and going blind. Those are big on my list for some reason :-P

I haven't actually thought about this much... thanks for the question. This should keep me busy for a good 10 mins!
