A female Ireland age 51-59, *uzuki writes:

I have a bit of a stange problem... and I really want advice as my friends and family have made their points very clear.

My boyfriend and I split up approx 5 months ago and when we did.. he set up an entertainments business. The problem is I run one and he did it out of pure spite and now runs his against me.

He worked for me for 6 months.. learnt the trade and set up against me.

Now he wants back, but he has made it clear he is still going to run his business as he "needs the money for our future". Proclaiming his undying love and wants to settle down and have a family and future with me... but I cant let this go. I cant believe he did that and even more so still wants to run his against me. I appreciate he has money tied up in advertising, but I stil feel hes taking money off me by being my opponent.

Am I being selfish? Or am I just being sucked in by a selfish person that really doesnt deserve to be with me after what he has done. I appreciate any advise x

A female reader, Brooklyngirl United States +, writes (13 February 2011):

Brooklyngirl agony auntIf he truly loves and cares for you, he would be willing to merge the two businesses and make a bigger and better business for the two of you!

It would be difficult for him to give up his business, and resume working for you.

But if you love him, and believe he loves you, consider a compromise!

Good Luck
