A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

There's this boy that I'm practically in love with. The thing is though that the other day one of my guy friends and I were talking and he said that the boy I like doesn't 'get it' yet. I mean, he doesn't know what to do when a girl likes him. Like, he flirts with girls all the time, but as soon as he finds out one of them likes him, he shuts down and starts ignoring them and giving them awkward looks. Which is what happened to me.

I really like him, but don't know what to do. I've tried talking to him, but since he's so shy and already knows I like him, this is near to impossible. I don't understand why he's still shutting down like this. He's sixteen, why doesn't he 'get it' yet? At first I thought it was cute, but now it's just annoying.

Honeygirl agony auntSweetie, this young guy has only learnt how to flirt with girls, then he hits a dead-end!! Hes probably not sure what to do so I suggest that you start chatting to him, he is probably so nervous and doesnt want to make a fool of himself in front of you. Good Luck!!

zgeek agony auntWell when I was 16 i hadn't a clue what to do. Cause I grew up in a pretty sheltered home away from ppl. It comes from not being exposed to those kidna things in life. You are afraid of screwing up, you have no idea what to do or how to react because you have had no experience in such matters.

Approach him. like just go up to him and start a conversation or something of the like. If he's extremely shy that will help him get over it, he's ignoring you so put yourself right infront of him (not literally)he really can't ignore you if your standing there making conversation with him or hangin around with him.

hope that helps.
