writes:I am running out of conversation topics when ever I talk with the boy I like. It always ends up being silent and boring since neither of us can think of anything to talk about. Rarely, do we have a conversation where the talking lasts more than 10 minutes without long pauses of silence. Any ideas of interesting topics? Reply to this Question

We both want to talk still-he asks me to talk each night and texts me, but we need more than the get to-know-you stuff and the how-are-you stuff. Basically the topics everyone listed(Really good ideas)already exhausted them. Thanks, so far, for everyone whose posted.

 To be honest if you are struggling to have a conversation with this boy then you are not right for each other! One of the big signs that shows that a person is right for you is when you can talk for hours, with time passing by without you even noticing! That sort of feeling is amazing - it is like you just click with that person and you can talk about everything and anything and it will be the best time you have ever had.
I have recently met someone new and we cant stop talking - it just comes naturally! We talk until 3, 4am some nights just because we have so much to say and enjoy each other's company so much.
If you are struggling to even hold a conversation with him then you just dont click I'm afraid - your personalities are not compatible and he wouldnt make a very good boyfriend because you dont have that natural affinity that is so important. A perfect couple should have loads in common which means you naturally have loads to talk about - if it feels awkward to talk to someone you like then this is a sign that you are not meant to be together.
I dont think this boy is worth pursuing - when you find a boy who you can talk to about anything then you know you have found a good one.

Celebrities
hobbies
sports / games
news in general
school / studies / social events
countries/travel
Hope this helps stir up some conversation!
And try not to be too shy else the conversation will end up going dry/boring.
