A female reader, YouWish United States +, writes (13 June 2010):

YouWish agony auntI think you're going to be just fine. It's okay to mourn what you used to have with him, and there will always be a fond memory of the time you spent with him.

What makes me know that you're going to be fine is that you realize the need and desire to move on without him. That's a point that so many women never get to, and they go on pining for the guy and wasting years of their lives.

It's okay to miss him. You moving on will ensure that new opportunities are on the horizon for you. Next step is allowing yourself to have feelings for someone else when the time comes. Take your time, hang with your friends, and enjoy life to the fullest!

Good luck! You're on the right track!
