Am I being unreasonable in asking him to stop this behavior?

Question - (19 September 2009) 4 Answers - (Newest, 20 September 2009)
A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have an issue with my boyfriend who gives a light kiss on the lips of a married woman every time he passes her. He said it was just a game that they played before he started dating me. This has been over a year and he continues to do this. I feel that it is not respectful of me since he does it even when I am going past her with him. It could be more than 3 times in one night. Her husband is there also and he does not seem to mind.

Am I being unreasonable in asking him to stop this behavior?

softtouchmale2003 agony auntThere's nothing wrong with being affectionate in a friendly way. It probably doesn't mean anything.

However, if he loves you, you certainly have a right to not feel uncomfortable around him and other women being that affectionate.

Its not unreasonable.

Not really. If it bothers you tell him to quit it. He can blame it on you even, you don't care. This seems stupid honestly, why would he play that game if it hurts you?

thatgothgirl20 agony auntNo. Absolutely not. In fact, it sounds like something a gay guy would do rather than a straight one.
