MissKin agony auntIt depends on which pill you're specifically on. I was on the minipill which 'stops' your period. However, with me, as i was overweight when i went onto the pill i didn't have a period for four months and then i had constant spotting throughout the month. To stop this i would have had to take a second pill (so two pills a day rather than one) to stop the spotting of blood.

However, i'm not sure if this applies to your or your pill, but as far as i know the pills that stop your period can often cause spotting (random appearances of blood in underwear etc.) and you can still experience monthly pains.

I wouldn't say it's anything to worry about, as long as you're 100% sure the blood isn't in your urine (in which case see a doctor asap), but as u ARE worried about it, and it's fairly unpleasant, just speak to your doctor of a local health clinic or helpline and see if they have any solutions for you? Possibly swapping to another form of contraception would be an idea :) they all have side effects though! so be careful and do your research first. x

DrPsych agony auntIt is not too unusual to have discharge when using the contraceptive pill as your body adjusts to it. However, since this concerns you then you should see your GP. They could identify if there is anything else that might cause the discharge, do a smear test and discuss alternative pill products that may not cause these side-effects with you.

ive never heard of a pill that stops your periods completely... is it maybe that they went out of sync for a few months and are now coming back? not sure, maybe someone else knows more than me!
