reader, anonymous, writes (20 October 2007): Hi sweetie, there is a chance that you may be pregnant. i would suggest that you have a pregnancy test at your doctors as soon as possible and decide on the best course of action after that. However your periods might not have settled completly yet and therefore i wouldn't worry to much. Irregular periods can be a sign of a poor diet and a lack of minerals and vitamins especialy zinc and iron. I'd go to your doctor and discuss this further. Good Luck

 Hey sweetie. dont worrie if the test keep comming back that you are not pregnant then dont worrie, i am 18 years old and i go a year sometimes with out my period its just the way some bodies go through, but go to the doctors and get put on birthcontroal and regulate your period the longer you go with out it the more it hurts when you get it so just go to the obgyn. Tell your parents that you have not gotten your period and you want to go to the doctors to get checked out and why your not getting them all the time when you are supose to. Next time you have intercourse use pertection that way you dont go through this scare again.

 If the tests keep coming back negative and you are not showing any sign or symptoms of pregnancy in 5 months, I would say that the chances of you being pregnant are very slim. The only way to know for sure would be to go to the doctor and get a bloodtest. Most likely it is your age or another factor. At the young age that you are, it is rather common to be somewhat irregular, though 5 months seems to be an awfully long time. Are you very thin? If you do not have sufficient body fat then you can stop your period, too. I really think you need to get to the doctor and find out for sure why you are not menstruating. And you need to STOP having sex!!!! You are way too young to even be THINKING of having sex!!!!! Cross those legs, young lady! Good luck, sweetie! I hope all is well.

reader, anonymous, writes (19 October 2007): At your age, your periods are probably not yet regulated. If you've taken a pregnancy test, and it came out "negative" stop worrying about it. You are way too young to be having sex, much less unprotected sex. Get smart girl, there are worse things out there, than getting pregnant, and you're opening yourself up for alot of diseases by being sexually active at this age, not to mention the emotional baggage that comes from it. Focus on school, and please, please, please wait until you're older to have sex with another guy.

12 is way too young to have sex at! my advice is that you don't do it again until a later age. Just wait a few more years, there's more to life than just sex. as for the period, i can't say i know a thing abotu that so wait for somebody else to comment on that ;)
