GLforever agony auntYou're in the USA, so the answer to whether nude pictures of you (a 15 year old) would be illegal (child porn) is a big... maybe. Contrary to popular belief, in the USA, pictures of nude minors are not automatically considered child porn. However, it can be tricky to determine just what is and what isn't legal - the law is very vague - so it is NOT a good idea to take those pictures.

There are many other reasons (beside the child porn angle) why this is not a good idea, but other posters have covered those quite well.

While I agree wholeheartedly with all the answers you have been given below, I will provide an answer to your basic question re: would pics of you be considered 'child porn' and illegal. Yes--any photgraphic images for sexual purposes that he takes of an underaged person (even with her consent), such as yourself would be considered 'child porn' in the eyes of the law. In my country, it would be "5 years in prison for possession and 10 years for circulation" should he post it on the internet or have it published in some way, where the public can view it. I think in light of the scary pervasivness of child porn in our society, most countries will have pretty much the same laws and I hear, these laws will get tougher. It's illegal, dear and you and him, need to think twice.

Right now it might seem like something you want to do, but think about it in the long run.You might end up regreting it later ecspecially if it doesn`t work out with you two.

If you trust him this will be very attractive for him to see you naked and to keep your pic, but I see it's too early for your age to have such trustable relationship with mature thinking. It's better to take care.

A female reader, tequilarodeo +, writes (23 May 2006):

tequilarodeo agony auntIn most places, if you are under the age of 16, anything you do that has to do with "sex" is illegal. Not to mention doing this could be something you would regret in a few years. Unless you know this guy is for real, you have no clue what he wants the pictures for... they could be just for himself, but if you 2 break up who knows what he could do with them.

The internet nowdays is a VERY powerful tool, with the click of a mouse your nude picture could be all over the internet... your parents could see it, your friends, your peers, the POLICE... charges could be pressed! All because you thought it would be oka to give your bf a few pictures of yourself...

I'm sure you know the right answer by now... It's up to you to make the right choice! :)

willywombat agony auntOh boy, by the time you are 25 or 35 will you ever regret giving in to his demands!

You will do what you want i know, but 25 may seem a long way off - but it creeps up really fast - and then what happens if a maybe EX BF comes out of the woodwork with nudie photos?

Just don't - it's a bad move.....

A reader, anonymous, writes (23 May 2006):

Well that question has always mindboggled me. Somehow the sudden transition from age 17 to age 18 is so big that, at age 18, you're an adult, while at age 17, you're still a kid...

[ponders]

BTW, Uncle HBF is quite right. If you two split up, and if he's a bastard, your photos may end up in places like a forum - famous, or even Spikehumor.com - lots of guys who get dumped or do the dumping post pics and videos of their ex's doing the nasties there. Then again he might not do it, since you are under-age for public display of erotic material...

harshbutfair agony auntWhen someone asks you to do something and you're not sure, it's best to make a list of what GOOD stuff and what BAD stuff could happen.

GOOD (but only for him)

1. He'll get to jerk off over your nudie pics.

2. He'll think he can influence you easily maybe into doing more stupid things like this.

BAD

1. He'll sell them on ebay when you split up

2. He'll show all your friends

3. They'll get back to your mom

4. They'll be found by newspapers and stop you ever running for president

5. He'll get arrested by the cops for posessing child pornography and you'll both be written about in your local newspaper than your gran gets.

6. Next time they won't be nudie pics but pics of you sleeping with his best friend.

Don't do it sweetie. Listen to your uncle Harshbutfair.
