olderthandirt agony auntYeah,it's over the top and it sounds like you a very "full of yourself" If i were a woman9or even a chicken0 I'd want to run for the bnearest exit if some DUDE came on to me like "hay here I am, Mr. Mr. and I can cook too so why aren't we in bed yet?"

CindyCares agony aunt Yes, but what you thought is transparent, I bet she'd be reading your thoughts and it all depends if she's on the same page, or if more probably she'd think you are being too pushy and trying to goad her into an intimate situation sooner than she wishes.

Don't get me wrong, the " let me cook you dinner " it's nice, fun, and romantic, but IMO it's too early for a second date , at the very least it would sound as if you are tryng to mark your territory. Keep it for some dates later.

A reader, anonymous, writes (25 December 2011):

I would find it weird myself, and get scared off if a guy invited himself to my house to cook for me on the second date. It's a really nice idea, but I think it's a bit early to doing such a thing. That's me though. good Luck.
