 In my opinion I cannot see how masturbating to porn would be considered cheating. Male or female - using an image be it visual, auditory or in your mind's eye is the way the majority of people reach orgasm alone. It is a natural physical process to masturbate, so do not beat yourself up about it.

Self gratification is not something that I view as acceptable.

Is this for you or your boyfriend? Anyway in either case it's not cheating. Cheating is done with real live other people.
As long as masturbation is not a complete substitute for sex in your relationship then it's pretty normal. If it's you doing it then tell your boyfriend or do it in front of him and he'll probably get so hot you won't have to finish yourself!
If it's him and you're not getting any discuss it with him!
