Don't worry! I was 15 when I had it the first time (also 16 would not be to late!). For my second time I had to wait 4 month and 4 month again for the third time. But then it started to be more often and slowly it go more regular. When I asked my doctor he said: everything is alright.
Really, your friends are right: You are luck you don't have it already! I'm now 26 and I don't like it - every month - bellyache - no swimming - nasty toilet... once you had it you will know what I mean. Enjoy the secure time now!

 Dont worry about it, itll come when your body is ready. My mom got hers when she was 14 and i got mine when i was 11, everyone is different.

 Sorry babe no one will be able to give you an answer to that question as we are all different and it happens at different times for everyone, you are extremely lucky that you have not yet started and i would not worry yourself about it just enjoy life as these things will happen in their own time.
