How do I get over the guy I lost my virginity too? We've been together 7 months and we are about to break up because i am moving 4 hours away next week and it hurts so bad. I dont want another guy, thinking about doing the dating process again just sounds terrible.. He's starting to treat me as a friend and is being really selfish about it. My heart feels so broken. It doesn't hurt him as bad as it does for me. Will this feeling go away? I want to focus on my life! but he keeps popping up in my head.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (11 October 2011):

For sure the heartbreak will go away. You are still very young and you can't imagine your life without him and that makes you think and feel like that. If he startd to treat you as a friend it means he doesn't care about you the way you do about him. Even if you lost your virginity with this guy, you will get over it. You can't change the past, so don't think about it. After a while you will start feeling good again. Be strong!

GhostChild agony auntHave you two considered going long distance? I know it can be a challenge, but 4 hours away is still workable. Perhaps you two can talk about it and give it a shot?

Otherwise, if your minds are already made up, then the best thing for you to do is to finish grieving and slowly move on.

Take everything one step at a time, keep your friends and family close and eventually you'll start to move on.

Best of luck
