writes:My long-term boyfriend and I are so in love. We are truly made for each other and we're planning to sleep together for the first time. There's just one problem, I've lost a lot of weight as I was extremely overweight a few years ago, and now I have stretchmarks pretty much everywhere. I'm not ashamed of my body, but I'm ashamed of the marks on my skin, they are all over, my stomach, the inside of my thighs, behind my knees, my arms and I don't want him to think they're so unattractive that he no longer wants to be intimate with me.I hope you can help...

 Hello,
I had the same problem, one solution I can give you to get rid of your stretchmarks is the use of Bio Oil! It really works! however it does take quite a while to do the job (a few months)so another thing I use is Johnsons Holiday Skin lotion, a self tanner - this or anyother tanner darkens your skin and helps blend the marks in more with your skin.
However I'm sure a few little marks woudn't bother him that much. The suggestions above are just for you, if you want to make them less obvious, but real love doesn't look twice at something like a stretchmark.

reader, anonymous, writes (15 June 2011): In a way its a risk you have to take. If he truely loves you then you dont have to worry. Im 22 and have 2 kids with my bf. I got such bad stretch marks with my first. They are so bad they used to b purple now they are pink some are dark brownish and it reminds me of zebra striping. I cant look past them but my bf says he doesnt care and doesnt really notice because its not something he focuses his attention on. He tells me why should he care when thats how his babies came to be. He always tells me i love u 4 who you are not what you are. So if ur bf loves you dont worry he will look past it.

 ok im over weight too and its a problem that i used too worry about all the time !
I got drunk and had sex with my partner for the first time and we hardly knew each other at the time, now he was never put off by my fatty wobby bits and marks all over my body - so if this boy friend of yours has been long term and he loves you it shouldn't matter how you look cos if you's are making love he wont even notice your bad points.
