many women do not bleed when they lose their virginity.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 July 2012): Its hard to say as I don't think bleeding occurs with everyone the first time they have sex. You won't know until you know.
My general belief is that the tighter a persons vagina the more likely they are to bleed for the first time (Or few times as I've previously read).
But since you said you're not as tight as you thought, then perhaps not. (My opinion, I'm no expert. Either way its normal and nothing to be concerned about).
