Particularly with these braces you see around now- pink braces, fluo braces, braces with Svarowski - they are actually cute ,like a fashion accessory.
But even if you opt for a more traditional type, I think you have nothing to worry. Don't be self conscious about your braces, and people won't even notice them.

If you ever find a guy who's judging you because of your braces, then don't have a thing to do with him. Seriously, I don't think any guy will care about the braces at all. And if he does, then he's small minded.

reader, anonymous, writes (16 January 2011): Of course ! Ihave braces too. I'm currently a freshman, and ihave plenty of guys after me. I'm not trying to seem conceeded or anything, but it's true. Just be yourself, and it should all work out. No guy should only like you for your looks. Personality is huge in relationships.
