A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Last year or the year before I went to a seminar in Rome for three days, to learn about business managing and finding "the power within", as the leaflet said. I was part of a group of about six, two of them were italian volunteers who were basically acting as our guides, and had been to many of these seminars. One was called Nunzio, the other was Antonio.

This seminar wasn't just a sit down and listen one. We had to participate - there were about two thousand people, and one exercise was to literally stand up, and hug a stranger. Some other exercises included 'finding your weakness's' etc etc, and on the third day we (all two thousand of us) walked across twelve feet of burning coals.

Anyway. my sister and I (we had gone together) made good friends with Nunzio and Antonio. There were many interests we had in common, and we enjoyed the seminar together - we even had a water fight at the end to celebrate. After the water fight we had all sat down again, laughing and generally having a good time. I noticed that Nunzio was staring at me, and when he noticed that I noticed he smiled and motioned for me to come closer so he could say something. Well, he didn't say anything. Instead he slowly took my notebook which I held in my hands, got a pen out, smiled again - and wrote his email address in the back. Now, I had developed quite a fondness of him by then. He was handsome, charming, humorous, adventurous and ambitious. I admit I liked him a lot.

I went back to England, and he stayed in Italy, but we emailed each other often so it felt that we were not that far apart. I think if it had continued the way it did I would have fallen in love with him, but eventually we stopped talking, and we almost forgot about each other.

Then, just a few days ago I was emailing my sister via facebook, and I noticed that on the birthday events was Nunzio. I was half ashamed of myself for forgetting him, and so I wrote on his wall congratulating him and asking how old he was now. Amazingly he replied half an hour later, 'laughing' that he was now thirty. I replied by saying that I should have guessed, as one of my sisters was thirty and looks about the same age.

So, a day or so later (yesterday) I go onto my hotmail account, and see I have an email from Nunzio. I go onto it, and it's a link to an italian website. I put on my spybot just in case and clicked on it. At first it just looked like an ordinary medical website, like a pharmacy shop online...but then I noticed a few words such as 'Lovegra' and 'Kamagra', and guess what? It was a Viagra page. I was shocked obviously, and a bit confused at why Nunzio would send a link like this to me (other than the obvious reasons but I didn't think Nunzio was like that). I double checked the URL and I discovered that when I clicked enter it changed, so I tried taking off a few words of the original URL that he sent me - and it was an italian site on satellite dishes.

Of course, from that I thought that it was the internet messing up the URL - and it was. So I thought nothing of it, it was just a mistake. Though I still didn't understand why Nunzio would send a satellite site to me.

TODAY, I woke up, had a bath, did my work out and then checked my emails again. I had two messages from Nunzio. I thought perhaps he realised what the link sent me to and wanted to apologise...but no. It was two other links - very different from the first one. I did the same as I did before, and BOTH links sent me to the same viagra page - so I took a few words off, and they sent me to ordinary italian websites: one being an orthodox catholic site, the other an italian photographers portfolio. I just thought this was plain WEIRD. All three links were different, but still sent me to a vagra page.

Now, either it is just incredible chance that all three links he sent me somehow re-routed to a viagra page, or, he sent me these links knowing that they did. But why on earth would he do that?

I'm very confused, and I'm wondering if I should be offended. I'm thinking of emailing him to ask him what he's getting at..but..It's a really weird situation. Any advice at all on what I should do?
