Stress, worry, illness, tiredness, a strain, work, age etc etc. There are many reasons. Not one means he's cheating or he's not attracted to you. This is not your fault at all, nor is it his. It's just something that happens to guys sometimes. Make sure he's not so stressed with his life at the moment. Maybe he's just being affected by work or something like that. If it's not that, it may well be that he needs to see a doctor. Be gentle too, because if either of you make a fuss over it, it'll make him more stressed.
