 Well, next time make sure the girl understands the concept and take your time to explain it thoroughly because this is not for everyone, you pose as the victim here - "I fall so easily" etc - but at your age you should know better, this can create a bit of confusion, I'm dating you but you are NOT my girlfriend? I understand your military status does not allow you time for a more significant relationship so why not have fun? Great! Just make sure they grasp the concept clearly and/or they do not secretely wish for something else, or off limits. Can save you a few headaches, and maybe you find someone who wants the same as you do.
