Why did I get this urge to kiss my best friend?

Question - (4 June 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 4 June 2011)
A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

So today I was sitting with my friend and she was sad. And then I had this weird urge. This friend has been my best friend for a long time and well I had that "we are going to kiss" feeling. She was really sad and wasn't telling me why so I was trying to get it out of her. But it wasn't like a heart pounding feeling. Or any sexual feeling just a feeling in my brain. I think it may be because I see her as a guy sometimes. She acts like one a lot and she's very masculine. I'm so confused why did this happen!?

AuntyAlexxmo agony auntIt may have been because she was so upset, you may have some feelings for her which at your age is very natural, most people at some point wonder about their sexuality or feeling for someone of the same gender.

I wouldnt let it worry you or even think about it too much, if it happens again then maybe you do having some feeling towards her, and if you do that is fine and you can decide what you want to do about that if it actually happens.
