Why am I still having these feelings for my ex when I'm happy with my boyfriend?

Question - (3 August 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 4 August 2010)
A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I even feel awful saying this but... I have a new boyfriend who I really care about, he's a great guy and I have really strong feelings for him, everything between us is fine and I don't understand why even though I have moved on I am jealous of my ex boyfriend of two years and his new girlfriend and sometimes I even find myself missing him when I see them together, he cheated on me loads of times and I know I don't love him anymore because of the feelings for my new partner. But what is the deal with missing him and being jealous? :/

Thanks for any help.

It's called heartbreak, and the only medicenes are time and time. The first time is just to wait it out. The second time is to befriend your ex. If you can't or don't want to be emotionally attached to him, even just a simple walk around town might help you get over it.
