Is it that I feel intimidated by other guys? Pls answer.

reader, anonymous, writes (30 March 2009): Maybe you're just a bit more aware of how guys your age act around girls (which can be awkward at this age) and that you're more in tune with how to be comfortable with girls without all the bragging and junk from other guys that turns so many girls off. You got along with your friend's friends -- that's great. Maybe they sensed that you're a good guy and not trying to show off.
Guys at 13 are trying all kinds of things to figure out how to get along in the world. Usually they're trying to show other guys how great they are with girls, and usually they don't have a clue. If being with girls without other guys being around works for you, then go for it. If you end up with a girlfriend, you'll end up with more 'respect' from the guys than by hanging out with the losers who can't get why the girls don't like them.
Chill, man, and don't sweat it. Sounds like you're on the right track.
