maybe ur just so nervous because you have known him for a few years, when i 1st tried to have sex with my friend of 12 years i was trembling and couldnt get hard, so it could be just performance anxiety but for females. could just get lube too for the first few times till u dont need it anymore. i wouldnt worry u prolly like him a lot and its getting to ur conscious
