If you are on the train then London is the obvious choice.
If you are driving then Luton Bedford or Milton Kenes is about in the middle.

 Ok from a simple google search your approximately 3 and a half hours from each other.You haven't mentioned if either of you can drive, and are willing to drive to the other or only so far?If not, then there is train. However this can get expensive.If you could just give some more details then maybe we can help although i will ask.. How old are both of you? The more information the better, so please reply and i'll try to help further :)
