A female United Kingdom age 51-59, anonymous writes:

Split from him in jan. I ended it. He's not for me. Kids all got on well, his and mine. Jack the lad 3 yrs younger than me. Owes me a couple of grand. Trying to keep it civil as he's paying it back slowly! Says he's a man of his word and all that! Put up with his inane txt about everyday crap to keep the peace. My bro works with him, bro was suppose to be over the pub celebrating his birthday tonight, but wasnt well so didn't, but my ex had already asked me if he paid me a fiver could i pick him up and take him to pub. At the time i was suppose to pick bro up too. I did still pick the ex up. Knowing it was only for couple of hours cuz he was off somewhere. We chatted about the money. He went off in a limo after 2 hours, previously saying he's got himself into something he didn't really want to with some girl. But the limo turned up before he could finsh. And that if i was still in the pub in an hour he would come back. I chatted to a few people, then came home (pub is next door) He txt 5 mins before that askin how long i was going to be in there. Then some random txt saying 'this isn't the real him' but wouldn't explain what he meant. I said are you coming back cuz kids are here in beer garden waiting. Got no reply, so txt him and said we will take that as a no, and that we have come home. No delivery report, so assume he has turned phone off now. Kids are disappointed, cuz they knew i was playing taxi tonight and they said hi to him earlier, my daughter gave him a hug then decided to ring his daughter after me and him went next door to the pub(his an my daughter are both 11) and haven't seen eachother for months now. Asked her after y she rang her, she said cuz she suddenly missed her cuz she saw her dad earlier. Thats really riled me, I feel terrible about it because my daughter had got over her, whats he playing at? Anyone know?

Cheers everyone. He txt this morning saying sorry he didn't get bak last night but that he enjoyed our chat. I said no worries, it turned out good in the end anyway and that i was sayng no more than that! And that i was glad we had a chat it reassured me about the money, amongst other things. And was a bit sad that her seeing him again triggerd my daughter off mising his dauhter, but i live and learn. He appologised for that and said he loved giving her a hug.

Anyway he then asked what i got up to in the end. I said my lips are sealed, i'm not tempting fate! Then mentioned my brother to get him off that convo. Game playing? Maybe. We can all do that hehe

lexilou agony auntPlaying, thats the operative word here.

He is a player and you are so much better off without him. I kmow its hard for the kids but I dont think this guy is going to change and turning his phone off just means he didnt want you texting whilst he was this other girl x

Heyyyy! Calm down baby. You say you already ended it yet you're depending on him - at least, you're depending on him for the kids' sakes.

You ended it for a reason - he's giving you more reasons.

I think you should accept the fact that he doesn't give a shit for you or his/ your kids.

Of course it's hard to let go but it seems that his only interest is in himself. You need to accept that so you can move on.

Yea, it's harsh, esp cos kids are involved but it sounds to me like this is the end of the road between you both. Heartbreaking, I know but try to come to terms with it. I'm so sorry that I can't give you anything more positive.

Good luck for the future.
