 Whilst there may not be a law against I think they would take it very seriously as Diovan says they make think he has been grooming you. This could lead to him being investigated, his computer checked for kiddie porn and him being watched. Both of your lives could be changed forever.
But most of all why would a 30 year old WANT to kiss a 15 year old in the first place. In my mind the police would be right to be suspicious as it would worry me - a lot.
If its you then find a boy of your own age before you even think about dating a man and if its a friend of yours then tell her to walk away and never see this person again.

reader, anonymous, writes (29 June 2008): I'm from the UK. There is no law against a 30year old kissing a 15year old, unfortunately. However he might still get a prision sentance for "grooming" if the police think he's trying to convince you to have sex.
It is illegal for a 15year old and a 30year old to have sex. If you are the 15year old and your friend is 30years old, be very carefull that you do nothing to cause him to go to prision and get his name put on the "sex offenders register" for the rest of his life. He will have problems finding and keeping work, and he will have to report to the police on a regular basis if this occurs.
If the police catch you kissing, they will give him a warning and will take you to see your parents. Your parents will get in trouble because you will be classed as "a minor out of control and at risk of being abused", the social services will start to visit you, and you will be under constant supervision untill you reach the age of consent. Forget about this person, they are too old for you, and it is dangerous for you to continue your friendship in anyway.

 I assume you mean "kissing the fifteen year old as he would kiss a woman he had a relationship with", not "kissing her as he would kiss his daughter".
In many countries, he would be breaking the law. Thirty year olds are not supposed to have any relationship of a sexual nature with minors. I don't know what the British Police would do. Where I live, maybe he would be taken to spend one night in prison.
