writes:I met this girl online and we have been chatting for almost a year now. I really care about her and I want to do something special for her. She lives about half an hour away and we have been planning to meet, but I want to do something before we do. I was wondering what websites or stores I could go too to find some flowers or gifts to send her. Something not too expensive, maybe 20 or 30 dollars. Just a little something to surprise her with. She doesnt really like flowers, but if she does get them she likes anything yellow. And I was thinking maybe a little stuffed animal or something that she could keep and I think she would really like that. Any help is appreciated.

 Since you have been talking to her for a year, then think of something that she has told you that she really really likes...then, base the gift around this. Getting a stuffed animal? What kind of animals does she like? Some people like frogs, cats, dogs, winni the pooh, think of what she has said...
Do you know her favorite color? Is there a certain type of music that she likes (the classic compilation cd you create), a t-shirt of her favorite band ?
Does she like to cook? Does she like to drink coffee or tea ?( a coffee mug of her w/ her favorite animal on it or a handmade pottery mug that uses her favorite color.)
The more you cater the gift to her personality the more it will make an impression. And, be sure to explain why you picked it out..."I know you said you like xyz and that is why I bought it for you."
I'd buy one flower, a yellow rose...but that is me. It is romantic and makes the statement that you aren't just looking to be friends. But, focus more on the gift and her personality.

I shouldnt be jumping ahead and spending money like that on someone I havent even met yet. I have been talking to her for about a year, but it was only a couple months ago we really fell for each other so we have been planning to meet but have both been really busy. If anything I need to just finally meet her and then maybe do something like that with the holidays coming up. Sometimes I just get an idea in my head and dont think everything through. Thanks again.

 I don't like stuffed animals. And she doesn't seem to care for flowers.. How about going to Macys costume jewelry counter.. There would be earrings (if she doesn't have pierced ears - you could get clip-ons) .. or a neclace with her initial on it .. or anything that you or the sales person would think your girl may like..

Good grief man... well slow start aside, you would know alot of stuff about her by now which will certainly be to your advantage. Myself personally, I think things like flowers or teddys as gifts before you meet are a bit cliche, maybe even tacky, (but I'm sure some girls will disagree). I recommend giving her a gift that relates to an inside joke that you surely would have with her by now. Be creative but make sure its small, inexpensive and preferably humourous :) it really is the thought that counts bro.
