A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I'm 15 though i turn 16 in 2 days.

Me and my boyfriend have been having sex for a few weeks,we were both virgins to begin with but

we always use a condom.

I had my period last week and it finished on Saturday.

On Sunday we were having sex and he went deeper and was a bit rougher than usual and later on that night i noticed i was bleeding a little and i was a bit sore. A few hours after that i was fine and all yesterday i was fine and there was no bleeding.

Today however it feels like a very mild burn (no bleeding) and is uncomfortable.

I can't tell my parents or im dead.

what could possibly be the cause of it?

help

A female reader, anonymous, writes (1 December 2009):

The GP wont keep things in confidence. Sorry, but he will tell your parents unless you are 16 years old already (or in some countries it might be 18.) So check with him BEFORE you talk, to see if things really will be kept in confidence.

You could also have an infection. You need to also talk to your boyfriend and tell him to stop being so selfish, he's hurting you and that's not exactly going to make you enjoy sex the way it should be enjoyed. He's making you bleed and possibly have to go see your doctor. Of course he's part to blame in this, perhaps it would be a good idea to bring him with you to the doctors so he can see and learn what he's doing to you.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (1 December 2009):

Quite often the hymen (thin bit of membrane inside you) is not completely broken or at all when you lose your virginity, thus losing it could tear this and ths be a cause of bleeding and soreness. The burning can be friction. If you are nervous during sex such soreness is more likely to occur. You might not be ready, so please dont be rushing into anything.

However you should probs pop to your GP for reassurance if anything so you don't need to worry.

A female reader, Araelia V United Kingdom +, writes (1 December 2009):

Araelia V agony auntWhen you have a period you become more sensitive during sex and your hymen can become tighter.....If you bled the first time you had sex it was because your hymen snapped, which is why it may have hurt...Snapping you hymen causes you to rub more easily meaning sex will hurt. By now it will have reformed and so may have snapped again but if you leave it two or three days after a period then you should be okay.

Hope I helped

A female reader, s.a.r.ah_ Canada +, writes (1 December 2009):

maybe you have a urinary tract infection, try peeing before and after you have sex...it will remove all the bacteria thats inside there before it gets pushed in deeper...

Ive had it, but ive never went to the doctors for it.

But if it does get worse, then go.

They'll give you antibiotics, that WORK.

I took some of my sisters, she had ones that were yellow and black.

If you dont feel like toughing it out, then go get some.

They work pretty fast.

I know how it feels, and if its not an infection, its just irritation because you've recently started being very sexually active .

It should stop when you get used to it.

But if it doesnt, go to the doctors !
