Um if you mom is 5'4 and your dad is only 5'6, the probability of you being much taller than them is SLIM. I seriously doubt that you'll make it to 6'1... and unfortunately, there's nothing that you can really do about it... unless you take hormones or something... but you have to get a doctor to go along with that.

You usually go through two growth spurts. Since you started at about 14, you'll probably finish up around 17 - for the first one. The second should probably hit you when you're about 19 or 20.

If I had to guess... I would guess that you'd end up anywhere from 5'6 - 5'9 maybe 5'10 if you're lucky... Here's something to consider though. If you're even remotely considering a career as a jet pilot (in the military)... shorter is better. Those cockpits are NOT made for big-n-tall people.

And even if you do end up being 'short' per say - And I know this is so cliche but - It's NOT what's on the outside that counts... it's what's on the inside. I'm 6' tall. My best friend - whom I wouldn't trade for the world - is 5'3.

Don't develop what's called Nepoleon (or Little man's) Disease where you're bitter about being short.

Remember - you're not short... you're FUN SIZED!

the reason i want to be so tall is since ive been in school ive always been one of the smallest in my class and my friends used to make fun of me for being so small i know they dont mean it in a bad way but i have always took it serious and felt i couldnt stick up for myself i was only about 5 foot last year but have had a growth spurt and grew 5 inches but im worried that there may only be another 2 inches left in me

If you do a little library research, or seed a search engine with a phrase like "average height", you can get about a jillion hits that answer your question based on age, location, ethnicity, diet, parentage, etc, etc. In the U.S. I think the median height for men over 20 yrs old is about 5'10 or 5'11.

At 15 years old, most guys can expect to add at least a couple inches before they reach their adult height. Many guys don't reach their full height until they're about 20 - I added over an inch after I turned 18.

What is this "goal height" you have set for yourself? Your height will be what it will be. To be honest, I think there are more important things for you to worry about (such as standard spelling and punctuation). Even if you stayed at 5'5 (which, as I said, I don't think is likely), you'd probably be on the short side of "typical" for adult men. I might guess around 20th or 25th percentile.

How has your dad done as a shorter-than-average person? Yes, western cultures tend to favor height but it looks like he found a wife and had kids so height must not count for everything. Short people often feel discriminated against - sometimes with a basis for their perception - but tall people are also victimized by stereotypes. Since I was always moderately tall, it was expected that I would be somewhat athletic. Quite the opposite is true, and as a kid i was often belittled for not living up to other's assumptions of what I "should" be able to do. To this day I sometimes feel that my stature (I was a bit over 6'2 at my full height) made me a more obvious "target" and I usually prefer to sit when I'm in a group.

Hey honey,

This is quite an impossible question to answer. As everyone is different.

My Dad is 6ft 2 inches and my Mum is 5ft 5inches, I am 5 ft 10 inche and female, My brother is 6ft 2inches. I do remember that at 15 I was 5ft 8 inches but then I had my last growth spurt at about 21 years old.

Is there a reason you want to be so tall?

Get back tous when you can

Good luck x
