A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I have known this guy for a year n half we were pretty close. Recently he has given me excuses that is far too busy to msg me i let it slide he may be telling the truth. I have his other number i see him online on whatsapp at stupid times.

Anyway i confronted him about the lack of interest he was showing me when he claims i am his best friend he apologised and shown quite more interest in me then i imagine made the effort of sending me red roses he flirted with me on number of occasions before and now he also tries making me jealous i know this because when i say to him go for it shes fit he wil be like no not interested to every girl he mentions he just wants a reaction.

He tries to impress me now that he has seen muscley guys on my phone by telling me his training sending pics etc he really made effort and chased me.

I was putting effort in too always being avialiable which i heard aint good ive been there for him i believe im a good friend but ive developed these feelings that my gut instinct told me he feels the same we just havent said it neither of us has. Guys normally say it straight.

At begining he would be affectionate an say i like you with love hearts not so much now after he says im his best friend. Its things he does and the way he reacts which make me think a friend wouldnt do only someone who has feelings. Anyway now he talks less replies late excuses of his battery died etc and he finishes conversation like going sleep an does it so fast out of nowhere.

I admit i was in denial he is not rshp material for me anyway but i feel strongly about him im not them girls who think i can change him but i do like him alot. I hate that he ignores me but ive told him that its life we drifted apart i came on needy before i wont do now. It was silly of me we are friends after all.. ever since i lashed out for the fourth time about him being too busy clingy nature your talking to other girls thats cool just dont be rude and tell me.

He denies he is and justifies everytime rather than tell me that it is none of my business he pops up i never bother now he wants me there but cant help to think his stringing me along playing games with my feelings .. what do i do to keep him chasing me?

Whenever a guy loses interest sometimes as women we feel that

the next girl or the new girl he is interested is better than

us. That is not true. You are good enough and he just can't

see that. No games and ignoring you. You should listen to

the song Goodbye To You by Pattie Smythe.

I have posted this question..

He makes conversations, he has popped up to me not long ago and shows his interest so I can't really say he is not interested because he is asking what he should wear and what my preference is in his appearance e.g. hairstyle and clothes.

So he cares about my views and opinions on things I am confused as to whether this is him stringing me along, he asked me if I need any financial help because I am going through some issues at the moment, I think that is sweet of him.

I guess he is trying to make an effort now, maybe he wanted to try out other people and realised that he had neglected me. I have no idea but right now I do not know whether I should carry on and leave him alone or continue the conversation be normal and see where it goes.

Sageoldguy1465 agony auntYou ask: "...what do i do to keep him chasing me?"

I answer: WHY bother trying to get him to "chase" you... when his actions have shown - quite clearly - that he's not worth your time or efforts??????

You're up...

Good luck...

A reader, anonymous, writes (28 July 2013):

You can't really do anything about it.

The truth of the matter is, once a guy lose his interest with you, you can't do anything anymore. Unless you wanna try and be stupid.

Dear, his no longer interested based on your story.

once a man stops contacting you, its obvious his no longer interested.

If his making excuses not to be with you or why he cant contact you then its like saying, I have no time for you because I have someone new.

or your not important to me so why should i contact you.

I am not saying this to hurt your feelings.

But I just want you to open up your eyes. face reality and get over him. I understand that you have strong feelings for him. But he doesn't feel the same way as you do for him.

Would you rather be playing the stupid part?

and hurt yourself. believe me, he will disappoint you, most times.

Oh, i feel so sorry for you, i apologize if i am too harsh.

i just cant stand the thought of allowing yourself to feel this way for a person who does not deserve you.

Anyway, it will pass.

Pray to god that may he remove your feelings for him.

Good luck.
