What do I do on a Prom date? What should I expect?

I need help!!! I just asked a girl to prom (she said yes) and I don't know what to do now.

Is it weird to go to prom on a single date? Because it seems like everyone group dates for prom. My date and I are both sophomores and I couldn't find any other sophies to group with. I do know some older people I might be able to group with if it is bad to go alone together.

Should we just get pictures, go to dinner and then the dance? or hang out all day? I know this girl really well and we can easily make a conversation. But we have never dated before.

I got my tux and a corsage for her already.

I guess my question is - what to do on a prom date, should we go alone, and what to expect.

ALL answers and opinions are appreciated.

ArmyMedic agony auntAh right thank you I have never figured out the whole freshman, sophmore, things.

Firstly do you like this girl as more than just a friend you are taking to the prom?

If you do, then it is not weird to go alone, I think hanging out all day is a little excessive as she'll want to spend most of the day making herself beautiful for you, (so make sure you tell her when you see her)

However I do think you should get the pictures, have the meal and dance together. But above all do what she wants to do, talk to her and be a Gentleman and everything else will be fine.
