I agree the truth is you know when you need to leave even if you dont want to either they will change you will change and be together or not
It called being strong you need to suck it up and relize he dosnt make you who you are no matter how much you love him. This is your life you only have one

 Do you spend some time together every week?
Does he make sure it happens, or are you the one who always asks him to spend time/go out on a date with you?
Does he seem happy when he's with you, or does he seem preoccupied or bored?
Do you feel happy when you're with him?
Does he seem to care about your feelings and treat you with kindness?
These are the questions I would ask, for starters, to know if I should stay in a relationship or not.
