Not My Name agony auntWell either he has to acquire some money for a bus ticket, ... you have to acquire some money for a bus ticket for him, ... or unfortunately, you are just going to have to accept you can't see each other and settle for a nice phone call or some other token of affection.

eg: I chose to spend X Mas up country with my ex and ex inlaws for the sake of my son having both of his parents present on Christmas day. So on X mas eve, my guy (in what I thought was a super adorable gesture) took my (sleeper) earrings out my ear, put them in his own, and put his in mine. Then told me not only was he going to touch the earrings and think of me on X Mas day, but that I was never getting them back coz he planned to be buried wearing them. What an ultra lamby :-) Well it made me melt anyway.

Have you got something personal (but not too expensive incase they go missing) that you could each pop in the mail to have a meaningful momento of each others whilst you can't be together.

Just a thought that I found ultra sweet when done for me.
