Question - (29 December 2007) 2 Answers - (Newest, 30 December 2007)
A female United States age 36-40, *nonymous woman writes:

Well, what can i say, This guy i work with, we planned to go to the movies,(it was supposed to be me, my cousin, this guy, and a girl that like him). So, the thing is they never showed up. Is this because they wanted to be alone, or is it because this girl felt threatened by me going? I don't know, but i feel they should have called and said whether or not they was going, or whether they was going by themselves. Am i right or what? The reason i'm asking is because right now i'm ready to go off on the guy that asked me to go in the first place, I hate liars. And i feel that they lied to me. ADVICE ANYONE!

dc.ryan agony auntPerhaps nothing happened in the end, perhaps you didn't receive your text/phone call for other reasons (low battery, no credit, poor signal - lost message).

It does seem unfair you've been left unnotified of what has been happening, but the only way you're going to find out what happened is by contacting him.

There could be a huge array of reasons as to why they didn't meet you, I wouldn't jump to the most obvious just yet - contact him/them and find out what happend.

Its all you can do!

A female reader, truly_unique New Zealand +, writes (29 December 2007):

DOnt go off at him. it will only make the situation worse. i know right now all you probably wana do is go yell and throw somethig at him. or even pull her hair out. being stood up is a horrible feeling. They may have good reason. but unless he was saving the planet single handedly from alien then his excuse isnt going to cut it.

The only thing you can do now is walk away. Classy. Still able to have your head held high which you wont if lose you job for assaulting your collegue. If its really somehthing you want to know then ask. dont yell. ask

But be prepared for an answer you may not necasarily like.

good luck

xx
