writes: Hi,i need some advice here, me and my girlfriend split up 2 weeks ago due to the distance between us, me living in Manchester and her living in Cumbria.however we decided to remain best friends and that seems ok until when i told her i fancy another girl who happens to be her cousin's best friend. and when i told her (my ex) if she was alright about this she said yeah she was fine about it and was just a little shocked but she was ok, then when i text about 4 hours later she was going all funny with me then started crying and admitted it upset her alot me liking this other girl. and then she went ok about it and these last few days she has been emailing me from college an saying stuff like she wants me to be happy then she said she doesn't want a bf at the minute then today she said she mite be getting with some lad called Grundy and it upset me a lil but i got over it so when i said to her u really confuse me she lost it and then said she doesn't even like this Grundy guy and she made it all up and then said i'm so gullable, but she's then said she doesn't want us to get bk together so i'm completely confused by the way she is being with me.any ideas?Chris

well i think that the best way to approach this would be to ask this girl to get her real feelings out in the open and tell you how she really fels, then work on that, if these games continue then tell her that you want to be friends but these mind games are driving you away. i think that she is just finding it hard to come to terms with as you and her where together for so long she may just be finding it hard to think of you as just a friend and her old feelings for you are getting in the way of her judgement. well that is all that i can say.
