I am pregnant and im going to dubai in 2 weeks.?

since everything is set, me and my boyfriend will be having a civil wedding here in the phils. ive heard that it will be a big problem if a girl delivered a baby in dubai out of marriage, so we thought that getting married here before moving in dubai will help. ill be there for employment. im using my single name in passport and visa, and we are getting married on may 5 after i leave on may 10. do i need to use my married name instead? or i can go with my single name and bring my marriage certificate with me?

thanks in advance for those who will answer my question. :D

I would definitely go to the State dept(or equivalent) of your own country and get a very clear answer. Possibly also visit the embassy or consulate of Dubai in your own country and get a written clarification. Leave a copy of this document, and a copy of your passport with someone you trust at home. You pretty much need to travel on the name that's in your passport - get one to match if you just got married if possible. Many countries are very strict about these things, and you have enough new customs and rules to deal with already. If AT ALL possible, deliver your child in your home country - it clarifies a lot of things legally. You will have a verifiable birth certificate and maybe even a passport for him/her. If there is any further doubt, avoid traveling until you understand things exactly. You have no rights in a foreign country except those they choose to give you, and those your home country can get them to agree to. Foreign travel can often be fun, but it can get very serious very quickly if you break any of their customs. Good luck.

Go to the government website and ask them. You need to find out the laws for sure before you go.

Travelling when you are changing names shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just keep your old name for a while to make things easier.

You sound like you are going to give birth any day now so they may not let you fly anyway.

Good Luck!! xx
