 Pretend you're just talking to one of your guy friends, I mean obviously don't start treating her like a boy but seriously. We're just all people lol. Girls are just better versions of guys :) I understand you feel nervous around girls unless you're online, so it's just the talking face to face where you have the problem.
Don't believe you're ugly. Even if you're an orange dinosaur with green spots, don't believe that. It's true what they say about if you don't believe in yourself, why would other people? Believing in yourself gives off a happy, confident vibe and people are attracted to it sub-conciously. Just because you don't have a girlfriend does NOT mean you're a freak or somethings wrong with you. I know you sound like you don't have much confidence, but maybe try and force yourself to talk to a girl, treat her as you would treat someone you like, that you'd wanna be friends with. Oh I know! If you've got any girl cousins think of how you would talk to them and go ahead :) Good Luck!

Most people find confident people more attractive, so even if you don't feel it, act confident, they will like you, and soon your self esteem will grow and you won't need to act anymore! You might have to kiss a few frogs to find your princess but at least you can make some new friends along the way =]

 I am nearly 18 years old and I don't have a boyfriend so dont think that you need to be with someone to feel beautiful i bet you are a really good lucking boy i have the same problem even now so your not alone what you need to do is take your time and just breath when you want to talk to a girl start off easy ask her what shes up to or even in school pretend to be lost or something and ask a girl for directions take easy slow steps and you will work the courage up to have a proper conversation to a girl good luck
