so, i really really like this guy... steve. and there is about a five year age difference. but age has never mattered. he is my brothers friend and my mom loves him! and my brother doesn't care that he and i are an item kind of thing. so i really really like him and i try to drop hints about me wanting to go out like "it's not like we are going out" but it seems like they upset him so i don't mention them. but i want to go out with him. and so like how do i tell him i want to go out? because i don't want to be the one asking him out... i am old fashioned and think the guy should ask out the girl. and like if we do go out and make it like "facebook offical" my friend might see. and she tells her mom everything and if her mom knows i am going out with someone five years older than me and tells my mom... it would not be good. so i need help on how to tell my mom that he and i are going out but first i want him to ask me out! please help!

Well even though i havent been in a REAL relationship i think you should talk to your mom about dating and older men like " Hey mom is it OK if i go out with a guy a little older?" because some people have a 26 age difference, when hes at your house pretend to be talking on the phone and sy "I like when the guy asks me out" maybe he'll get the hint :] so go for it!.
